Stolen Horse International, aka NetPosse, opened its doors to a preview of donated items up for auction on November 28, 2009. The auction was to continue for seven days but has now been extended due to new items arriving daily for the annual fundraising event from horse professionals and companies across the US.
“I would like to thank everyone who has donated items to the auction,” say Debi Metcalfe, founder of the nonprofit organization. “Especially in this time of recession, the money raised from our auction is greatly needed and for continuing our victims services and educational programs.”
Helping missing horse victims and horse owners is a year-round effort of Stolen Horse International, aka NetPosse.com. Each year the nonprofit’s live e-Bay auction, which takes place during the holiday season serves as a major fund-raising event that helps generate the monies needed to achieve its mission.
All proceeds from the auction will help fund the continued operation of Stolen Horse International. This nonprofit is the only one of its kind, providing horse theft education, along with prevention and recovery aides for missing horses, tack and equipment through its website and public speaking engagements!
Please support SHI and help us continue to bring horses home to the families that love and miss them by bidding on items or sharing this information with other horse enthusiasts.
The following is a list of items already catalogued that will be up for auction, and more donations are continuously being added. For a visual preview, visit: http://www.netposse.com/auction2009previewlist.html
Stolen Horse International is still seeking premium live auction items. Contributors to the auction will receive an ad on NetPosse.com’s auction page and through electronic mediums during the event and other mediums following the event.
If you have any lingering doubts about the worthiness of this cause, ask yourself what you would do if your beloved horse was stolen or missing … where would you turn? Who would help? The answer is simple: www.netposse.com.
We thank you in advance for your help in spreading the word about SHI and for participating in this auction!
